Position Summary
Seeking a spiritually mature minister committed to preaching God’s Word. The minister will partner with the elders to grow faith, strengthen worship, encourage members, and equip the church for evangelism.

Responsibilities
Pulpit Preaching: Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, biblically sound, thought-provoking, and practical sermons.
Teaching & Equipping: Lead assigned Sunday and midweek Bible classes. Mentor and support fellow teachers through shared resources and constructive feedback.
Discipleship & Outreach: Model discipleship and equip members to share the Gospel. Coordinate with elders and deacons to strengthen community evangelism and service in addition to other congregational opportunities.

Faithful Christian man whose life meets the biblical standards expected of a teacher of God’s word.
Strong commitment to New Testament Christianity and the authority of Scripture.

Possesses sound knowledge of the Scriptures and the ability to teach them accurately.
Experience: Prior experience as a pulpit minister preferred but not required.
Education: Formal degree in biblical studies, ministry, or preaching preferred but comparable experience will be considered.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, effective communicator, strategic time management, and dedication to ongoing professional growth.

The church in Claxton, Georgia is seeking a full-time minister who is an outgoing, energetic, and a self-motivated man of God. Experienced in working within the church body and being active in the community. Duties will include scriptural preaching Sunday morning and teaching of classes Sunday/Wednesday. These need to include both personal and applicable truth. Interaction with the church needs to extend beyond just worship times, including but not limited to visitation of the physical and spiritual sick and participation and support of the members in their growth in the faith. Additionally, the successful candidate will be an active member of the community we are trying to reach for Christ. Efforts by the minister will be discussed with the men of the congregation quarterly. Currently we do not have elders or deacons but aspire to one day to do so. We are a loving congregation with 30-40 in attendance on Sundays. The church building, four-bedroom preachers house, and fellowship hall are all debt free. While the city of Claxton is small (11,000 in county) we are located only 25 miles from the University city of Statesboro and only 50 miles from Savanah. Salary is negotiable but does include rent free use of the house along with a full-time salary. The church includes individuals from 14 U.S. states and 12 foreign countries and is overseen by 6 elders and served by 13 deacons. With a Spanish minister from Nicaragua, many members fluent in Spanish, and a strong Hispanic influence in the surrounding community, the West Broward church is involved in mission work both domestically and internationally throughout the Caribbean and Central/South America. With the help of a full-time youth minister, the congregation has an active children’s ministry and family outreach program and participates in activities like summer Bible camp and Lads to Leaders.

West Broward’s ideal pulpit minister would be familiar with the South Florida culture and meet the following preferences:
• married with children
• a Bible degree from a Christian college/university, certificate from a brotherhood preaching school, or comparable experience
• a commitment to biblical principles and the organization/operation of the New Testament church
• counseling experience
• ability to collaborate successfully in a work environment with elders/deacons/ministers/office staff
• strong preaching skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the church from young people to seniors
• experience in local evangelism and service to non-members
• experience in church education and edification of the membership
• a minimum of 10 years of full-time preaching experience

The West Broward church of Christ is seeking a full-time Youth Minister to direct a Christ-centered ministry for our young people. We are a sound congregation rooted in New Testament Christianity with a youth group full of potential under the right leadership. We are looking for a man who can serve faithfully under the elders of the West Broward congregation and help our parents and volunteers grow our youth program spiritually by the will of God.
