The Cave City church of Christ is looking for a full-time Evangelist/Pulpit Minister.
Duties: (not a comprehensive list)
• Preach Sunday morning & evening (2 Tim 4: 2-5, 1 Tim 4: 6-7 … 10-11)
• Teach at least one Bible class per week (1 Tim 4:11, 2 Tim 2: 24-26, Titus 2:1, 2 Tim 2:2)
• Work with the church leadership to develop and implement strategies to maximize outreach and spiritual growth of the church (Hag 2:9, Luke 19:10, Luke 14:23, Luke 8:11)
The ideal candidate for Cave City would be a married man with preaching experience (or a new graduate from a recognized preaching school), who also takes an active role in personal evangelism. Key characteristics that the congregation is looking for include doctrinal soundness, enthusiasm, motivation, and good communication skills.
Salary: Negotiated when selected, housing is provided.
Description of Congregation: The Cave City congregation has existed for over 80 years, and attendance currently ranges from 80 – 105 for Sunday mornings. The congregation has a good mix of young and older members. Cave City is a small town located in North central Arkansas in the foothills of the Ozark mountains with an approximate population of 2000.
The congregation is actively engaged in the work of the Lord. We support several mission works, both local and overseas. We currently have three Elders and three deacons. There are also numerous members who teach Bible classes, and several of the men are capable of preaching as well.
