Minister Position Available at Roscoe Church of Christ, Texas

The Roscoe Church of Christ, located 115 miles south of Lubbock and 50 miles west of Abilene, on the rolling plains of Central West Texas, is seeking a dedicated young family to come teach, preach, and lovingly serve God’s family, and our local community, side-by-side together with us. We are a dynamic and growing congregation with about 150 active members, including many young families and lots of noisy children. We would love the opportunity to help grow and mentor a young family — perhaps a recent graduate (or soon to graduate) who may be new to ministry.

Main qualifications we seek include, first and foremost, a couple whose desire is to “love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength,” and who will humbly “love their neighbor as they love themselves” (Mark 12:30-31), and who are learning to love their brothers and sisters in Christ as Jesus has loved us (John 13:34). We seek a minister and his wife who are spiritually mature and sensitive enough to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 5:14); and who are willing to humbly receive continued wisdom, guidance, and instruction from loving shepherds of the flock.

We are committed to taking good care of our minister and family with an adequate monthly support package that includes a newly remodeled and spacious 3-bedroom, 2½-bath home with all utilities paid.

The Westside Church of Christ in Alvin, Texas, is looking for an energetic, spiritually focused, self-motivated man to fill our Youth and Family minister position.  The responsibilities of this position would include conducting weekly devotionals with our teens, planning/coordinating activities for children of all ages, and to support the spiritual growth of our children and families.  Other duties will also include helping to plan our annual VBS, attending various camps with our children/teens, and helping our youth give back to their community through service projects and outreach.  The position will provide you the opportunity to grow your skills in teaching, preaching and song leading.  We have a strong and supportive leadership team that allows our ministers to focus on preaching and teaching the Word.

The community of Alvin is located thirty miles South of Houston, Texas and has a population of 26,000 people.  The congregation has 170 members with an average weekly attendance of 125.  We have a thriving and active teen program (6th-12th grade) with an average of 18 teens attending events.  We have approximately 15 children in our K-5th grade classes, anxiously awaiting their turn to join the youth group.  The members at Westside Church of Christ are friendly, faithful, and loving Christians who work diligently to support one another in our walk with Christ.
