Minister Position at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Van Buren, Arkansas
The Pleasant Valley Church of Christ is a loving church family in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. Our congregation of approximately 200 members has faithfully worshiped and served in the same location for more than a century, establishing a strong foundation of faith and commitment to God’s work. We are currently building a new auditorium and are excited about the opportunities it will provide for worship, fellowship, and outreach. We are seeking a spiritually mature, evangelistically minded, and doctrinally sound preacher to serve under the oversight of a New Testament-qualified eldership, become part of our church family, and partner with us in sharing the gospel and strengthening the congregation.
Qualifications
· Preaching experience within the Church of Christ is required (full-time experience preferred)
· Bachelor’s degree in an evangelistic or preaching field, or equivalent experience
· Strong knowledge of Scripture and ability to communicate biblical truth clearly and effectively
· Demonstrated commitment to personal integrity and Christian conduct
Candidates must demonstrate full alignment with the doctrine and practices of the Church of Christ. Only applicants meeting these experience and doctrinal requirements will be considered.
Primary Responsibilities
· Preach and teach biblically sound lessons for Sunday assemblies and weekly Bible classes
· Effectively incorporate appropriate teaching tools (e.g., PowerPoint or other visual aids) to enhance clarity, engagement, and understanding
· Engage regularly with members through visitation, encouragement, and spiritual support
· Lead and participate in evangelistic efforts, including Bible studies and community outreach
· Work closely with the eldership in supporting the spiritual growth and unity of the congregation
· Participate in congregational activities and ministry efforts
