Full-Time Preacher – Turlock Church of Christ | Turlock, California

The Turlock Church of Christ is prayerfully seeking a passionate, Scripture-driven preacher to join us in reaching and equipping the next generation in California’s Central Valley.

Debt-free congregation of ~200 with Sunday attendance around 130–150
Unusually strong and growing young demographic: a large young professionals group and many young families

Reach and minister to our growing Hispanic community
Engage in ministry to college students at California State University, Stanislaus (right here in Turlock)
Empower and grow our young professionals and young families
Evangelize a family-oriented city that is expanding

Primary Responsibilities
Deliver an engaging, Bible-centered sermon every Sunday morning
Teach Sunday morning Bible class on occasion and/or Sunday evening classes (Sunday PM includes one whole-church devotional each month and classes the other weeks)
Occasionally teach a Wednesday adult class
Partner with elders and members in visitation, counseling, and discipleship
Work alongside a full-time administrative assistant to keep the ministry running smoothly
Help cast an engaging Jesus-centered vision for the church and lead outreach efforts in the church and the community

Who We’re Praying For
A man who is a strong Bible student, fully committed to the authority of Scripture and New Testament Christianity
Gifted preacher and teacher who connects God’s word to real-life struggles with clarity, conviction, and grace
Strong relational skills with a heart for young adults, college students, families, and the lost
Proven experience in full-time ministry is beneficial, but the gift of preaching, a heart devoted to God and people, and a strong self-motivating work ethic are most important
Experience in addiction counseling and/or marriage/family counseling is a strong asset but not required.

Compensation & Support
Negotiable compensation package tailored to the candidate’s needs (includes housing allowance—no parsonage)
