Cameron Avenue Church of Christ is looking for an experienced Preaching Minister to join our team!
Mission: Cameron Avenue Church of Christ’s mission is to offer the Gospel to the people in the Tri-cities area. We seek to be Christ’s disciples and to allow the Gospel to live in our church, our communities, and in our homes. We want to offer you a place in God’s kingdom and a place within this family. Led by two elders and five ministry leaders (deacons), the church family is ready to work with a dedicated servant leader to guide the church into a deeper relationship with Christ and help reach out to the community. The church has a long history in the community and our members have a spirit of love, cooperation, and dedication that carry on a number of works for the cause of Christ and His Kingdom.
Leadership is looking for a married and experienced leader to put processes in place to see the church grow. The next minister will make Cameron Avenue “home” in order to build a solid foundation of ministry. Leadership desires an individual to grow with the congregation and become a key part of the long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Biblically-based sermons
Organizing adult Bible classes
Mentoring and studying with individuals
Planning and executing special services and events
Collaborating with elders, ministry leaders, and families
Community oriented; willing to connect with members and guests in the community.
Social Media/Website: Help organize and expand the church’s online presence.
Qualifications:
A strong, personal relationship with Christ
Passion & experience in preaching (min. 2 year)
Ability to communicate effectively (teaching, preaching, writing)
Ministry degree preferred
