Full Time Associate/Youth Minister
The Johnson Grove Church of Christ in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, is actively seeking to employ a full-time Associate/Youth minister but could be open to a bi-vocational person under the right circumstances. The primary focus will be ministering to our youth group of 20+ young people. We are looking for a minister who is in love with Jesus, His Word, and who is excited to share that love with our teens and pre-teens. The youth ministry has a generous budget that allows for events, trips, ministries, and planning. The perfect candidate will also share in the preaching/teaching responsibilities for our congregation of 200+. The compensation package will be determined by the needs, experience, and education of the candidate. One huge blessing of this area is that the cost of living is somewhat lower than other areas.
Johnson Grove is an amazing congregation located in Southwest Mississippi. Our worship is uplifting, and the members are extremely friendly, caring, and love the Lord. The Eldership is a mostly younger group of seven compassionate and patient Shepherds who allow the ministers under their care to take a large part in the church leadership. This is a congregation with a history of longevity of service from its ministers. Our current Minister has served the congregation for 12+ years, while our former Youth Minister served us for 15 years.
We have experienced great growth over the past 10 years and look forward to continuing that growth spiritually and numerically. Our desire is to find a minister who is a great fit for our congregation. We want you and your family to grow in Christ as you help us grow in Christ.
