Our congregation has a good group of active core families and a wide range of ages, including many children. We are a mainstream congregation of the Lord’s Church that strives to be doctrinally sound and strong in the faith.

Iowa is a domestic mission field, with congregations of the Lord’s church being few and far between, and relatively small compared to many congregations in the South.

Maryland Heights Church of Christ, Missouri, is seeking a preaching minister to continue the mission of our retiring minister. We are a suburban multigenerational church with a growing group of young adult families. The Northside Church of Christ is located in the small town of Bismarck in east central Illinois, near the IL/IN border. We seek a new minister for our church family, which averages 20-25 on Sunday mornings. The Northside church has two elders, has been established in the community for over 125 years, and owns the building we built in 1998. Job Requirements:
Internship Start Date: May 25th

Internship End Date: August 25th (or whenever is required for the intern as agreed upon by the intern, Paul and the Eldership)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and Organize our Tuesday Study and Fun event for Grades 4th Grade through Highschool
o This would begin the First Tuesday after camp (June 17th- August 12th)
o This should have a time of Bible Study, Lunch (either Sack or have kids bring money to go eat somewhere) and a game / activity.

• Preach Sunday Morning on these Dates:
o July 27th
o 1 Sunday in August (the last Sunday you plan to be here before you the internship ends)

• Preach Sunday Night:
o June 1st
o July 6th (This will depend on the timing for our food and fireworks congregational celebration).
o August 3rd

• Do a 3-part Lesson series for our Study Sunday Evenings on (Adults):
o June 22nd
o July 27th
o And Possibly August 24th (if you are still here)

• Work with Paul and Grant (Deacon) to have a youth Lock-In in August.
o Date possibilities include August 1st, 8th OR 15th.

• Participate in the monthly Elders Preacher Meetings on:
o May 27th (Possibly / possibly not)
o July 8th
o August 5th

• Directly aid Paul in VBS on July 20th-23rd (ALSO preparation for VBS)

• Teach a Bible Class on Sunday Morning for June through August

• Participate / co teach in one of our small groups each month

• Participate in the monthly RISE Above Group (a ministry for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one).

• Other various Roles like as they arise:
o Outreach and Evangelism opportunities
