Associate Minister Position

The Oak Hill Church of Christ in Rome, GA is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our ministry team as an Associate Minister. Oak Hill is a congregation of about 225 people with 6 elders. Primary responsibilities of the Associate Minister will include working with our young people, the visitation program, and other teaching opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong spiritual leadership qualities, able to build relationships within the membership and community, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to the teaching of the Bible. This position involves assisting the Pulpit Minister in various duties, supporting the spiritual growth of the congregation, and actively participating in community outreach programs.
We are searching for a man who is a student of scripture, works well with others, and who is committed to the mission of the church. In addition, a man who has a strong adherence to biblical authority and church doctrine, possesses excellent communication skills, and can develop a planned and purposeful approach to ministry. Furthermore, we are searching for a man who desires to work under the oversight of the elders and work closely with the senior minister in a team approach. A bachelor’s degree, particularly in Bible or ministry is preferred. This is a full-time salary position with benefits commensurate with education and experience.

Full-time or Part-time Minister

The Eureka Church of Christ in Richland County, Illinois, is seeking a full-time or part-time minister to minister to the needs of the congregation as well as helping to reach out to the community. The minister will be responsible for preaching on Sunday morning and Sunday night and teaching the Sunday morning Bible class. When necessary, a substitute from the congregation or another congregation will fill in. The minister may be required to fill in for an adult Wednesday evening Bible class when needed. If the minister is part-time, he will have flexibility to hold gospel meetings and speak at other events during the year and/or have another occupation.

The successful candidate must bring an enthusiasm for teaching the Gospel to the lost in the area as well as teaching and equipping the membership of the congregation to grow in their knowledge of the scriptures and their devotion to God. We prefer an applicant with sound biblical knowledge and experience in effectively preaching and teaching the scriptures. The ideal candidate will have educational background in the scriptures. We want a minister that will be an active member of the congregation who will interact with members at all stages of life.

The Eureka Church of Christ is a rural congregation organized in 1884. The congregation had elders until just recently. We have an average attendance of approximately 25 every Sunday. A former elder of the congregation has been volunteering his time as minister for over nine years. The congregation sent the House to House Heart to Heart publication to approximately 4,240 residences in twelve mail routes covering all or part of Calhoun, Claremont, Olney, and Sumner, Illinois, every other month for three years, until June 2021. The church building is located 3 miles south of Claremont, Illinois, in Richland County. We are within an hour and a half drive from Terre Haute, Indiana, to the northeast and Evansville, Indiana, to the southeast. We have a good school system and a community college in the County.

Full-Time Preacher

Mountain View Church of Christ, Buena Vista, Colorado

We are a strong, bible believing congregation looking for a full-time preacher for our congregation located in Central Colorado. We are very committed to teaching only God’s word with an established eldership and deacons in place.
We are a small congregation with a regular membership of around 40 members, however, our numbers will typically increase in the summer season with both full-time seasonal members as well as weekly visitors.
Our worship schedule is a little different than other congregations. We hold morning bible study at 10:00AM and worship at 11:00AM followed by a Fellowship Lunch (potluck) every week. Then we have an afternoon devotional at 1:30PM. We do not have a Sunday evening service. Our mid-week bible study is on Wednesday at 7:00PM.
Our preacher would be expected to provide the sermon on Sunday mornings as well as the afternoon devotional. He would also teach the Wednesday evening adult bible study class. Currently, the Sunday morning class is being taught by one of our elders.
Our current preacher is retiring, after 22 years as our preacher, but will continue as a member of the congregation. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

FULL TIME PREACHER/MINISTER

Canyon Lake Church of Christ, Texas

Position is available for a full-time preacher in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Position includes a salary and a 2-bedroom, 2 bath parsonage located 100 feet behind the church building. Duties include preaching sermons on Sunday morning and afternoon and a share of teaching classes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. It also includes helping with the strong evangelistic efforts of this congregation toward the 40,000 residents of the Canyon Lake community. This is a growing community and the congregation is growing with it because of our outreach. The canyon lake area is one of the most scenic in the state with natural beauty and local charm galore. It is located about 15 miles from New Braunfels and 30 miles from San Antonio and Austin.

Youth Minister

The Van Alstyne Church of Christ in Van Alstyne, Texas is in search of a full-time Youth Minister to lead our 7-12 grade students into a deeper relationship with Christ. Van Alstyne is a growing community forty-five minutes north of Dallas. The congregation currently has two morning worship services and averages about 190 in attendance combined. Pulpit Minister

For only the second time in nearly three decades, the Bright Road Church of Christ in Findlay, Ohio is searching for a pulpit minister to work alongside three elders and five deacons in service to a congregation numbering about 75, a third of whom are members of the local Haitian community who are currently also served by a French-speaking Associate Minister.
Findlay (pop. 40,000), the county seat of Hancock County (pop. 75,000), is a growing community with an attractive downtown, excellent schools, and a robust and stable economy based on the energy, manufacturing, distribution, and agriculture sectors, and has been named the number one “micropolitan” city in the U.S. by Site Selection magazine for five years in a row.

Youth Minister

Southgate Church of Christ, San Angelo, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY

Full-time Youth Minister charged with encouraging and equipping teenagers for Christian living, service, and leadership in the family, the local congregation, and the broader community to the glory of Christ. All the responsibilities of this position are to be conducted for the purpose of fulfilling this charge. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  1. Provide Christ-like leadership to teenagers, their parents, and others involved in the youth ministry
  2. Provide Biblically sound instruction to teenagers in Bible classes and other settings
  3. Facilitate Christ-centered fellowship and involvement of teenagers with one another and with the broader congregation for the purposes of relational and spiritual development and service to others
  4. Manage and account for resources allocated to the youth ministry in an ethical and prudent manner
  5. Interact and communicate in a timely, cordial, and professional manner with other members of the church staff, leadership, congregation, and the community
  6. Seek opportunities for personal spiritual growth and continuous improvement of the youth ministry
  7. Be an available, visible, and active member of the Southgate family and the Concho Valley community

 

DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR CANDIDATES

  1. Faithful Christian and member of a church of Christ
  2. A heart for teenagers, the family, Christ’s church, and the lost
  3. Married to a faithful Christian wife who is willing and able to assist in this ministry
  4. Superior interpersonal skills and energy needed to work effectively with diverse and intergenerational individuals and teams
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and technology skills
  6. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including education
  7. Record of success in a similar position, including education

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  1. This position is under the oversight of the eldership and is an integral member of the ministry staff/team, consisting of three full-time ministers and two full-time office professionals.
  2. All staff members complete an annual development plan, reviewed by the eldership.
  3. Ministers and their wives serve as members of ministry teams consisting of elders, deacons, ministry leaders, and others in various ministries of Southgate Church of Christ.
