Position: Minister Lander Church of Christ
Preaching Evangelist for a loving church family located in a small Wyoming town positioned at the base of the Wind River Mountains with opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach.
Are you looking for a place to serve and to grow in the faith of Jesus? The Lander Church of Christ loves the Lord and His Word. We are looking for a preaching evangelist who is eager to share the word, serve the community and church, and to live his faith to the best of his ability while being part of our family. Lander is a great place to live, raise a family and share the good news of Jesus.
Our Congregation:
Mission: Knowing God, Knowing Each Other, and Inviting Others to Know Him
Vision: Teaching vital truths that deepen our faith and convictions while also encouraging community and relationship; Offering practical evangelism training and encouraging discipleship/mentorship among current members; Creating opportunities throughout the week for relational and spiritual growth while emphasizing our mission. These goals will be accomplished by planning every 3 to 6 months and evaluating the relationships and needs of the Church.
The Lander Church of Christ is a congregation of 50-60 members that has been in the community since the 1950’s. Our congregation is active in the community and mission minded.

• Our congregation supports foreign mission works in Mexico, Eastern Europe and India/Sri Lanka as well as domestic efforts with Orphan’s Lifeline and the University of Wyoming campus.
• We have many members who assist in leading worship and teaching Bible classes.
• We encourage our minister to be involved in the community alongside our members.
The Ministry:
We are interested in a man who will deliver pertinent sermons from God’s word and who will help lead Bible studies on Sunday mornings and during midweek meetings. Involvement in our community is a way of life in rural Wyoming and we encourage our preacher in these ministry and fellowship opportunities. We offer a competitive and negotiable starting salary. Other benefits include: paid time off, annual financial and time allowance for professional development, and flexible hours.
The Community:
Lander is the kind of place you visit and say, “I wish I could live here.” Nestled in Wyoming’s Wind River Country where the high desert meets the foothills of the Wind River Mountains, you’re always minutes away from adventure. Whether enjoying the serenity of alpine forests and lakes or winding through pinion pines and junipers along the desert’s colorful draws and ridges, you’ll see why Lander earned the reputation of being the place “where the rails end and the trails begin.”
Besides Lander having a diverse population of approximately 7,500 people, Lander also has two public high schools, a 6-8 grade middle school, two elementary grade level campuses, a private elementary school, and a small private 4-year college. A full-service hospital and medical care are available.
