We are looking for a sound gospel preacher who is committed to biblical teaching, congregational growth, evangelism, and pastoral care.

Responsibilities include preaching and teaching, encouraging spiritual development within the congregation, community outreach, and working alongside church leadership to strengthen the church’s mission and ministry.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTER

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTER/COORDINATOR

Church: Holly Hill Church of Christ, Frankfurt, KY

Title: Children and Youth Minister

Purpose: Strengthen children, youth, and families

Compensation and benefit package would be for a full-time position and include a salary of between 50,000 and 60,000, a minimum of 10 days of PT time, a minimum of 5 holidays, and a very spacious, all utilities included, 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment of approximately 1,200 square feet with ample storage. The housing has a value of approximately $18,000.

Planning and Execution:

Meet and develop with key constituencies a quarterly calendar and disseminate.

Oversee and work with the congregation on planning and execution of activities.

Work with the Director of VBS and the committee on planning and execution of VBS.

Teaching:

Teach a children/youth class on Wednesday and Sunday.

Equip, lead, and provide oversight for teachers.

Oversee and lead young men’s and oversee young women’s training.

Oversee and lead Carpenter Kids.

He would be the key person for all things children and youth. He would chair the Youth Committee.

Preaching/teaching adults as assigned.

Evangelism

Assist minister as needed.

Show yourself as an example to the church through a consistently evangelistic lifestyle.

Provide platform to build intergenerational community ion the congregation.

He would have administrative responsibilities.

He would work closely with Elijah Bell, the minister. They would have one regularly scheduled meeting per week and more if needed.

Full Time Preacher

The Yankton Church of Christ is a well established Church that meets in Yankton, South Dakota and is in the process of offering a full-time preaching position for the Church that meets at 1114 West 12th Street. Our current preacher, Gabriel Nichols, and his wife are moving back to Oklahoma this May to pursue a missionary work opportunity. Gabriel graduated from the Bear Valley Bible Institute and has served the Yankton Church faithfully for 2 years. We feel that his training prepared him well for service as a preacher, and we believe that his time with the Yankton Church helped Gabriel’s spiritual growth, confidence and preaching technique. We are familiar with SIBI and believe that SIBI graduates would be a good fit.

The Yankton Church is offering prospective candidates a starting salary of $3,000 per month with a 3 bedroom apartment/garage attached to the Church building, including all utilities (except telephone) and WiFi internet service. A two year commitment for prospective preaching candidates is being suggested (negotiable), with a 6-month performance review with the possibility of a salary raise at that time.

The Yankton Church will also provide prospective candidates reasonable expenses for attending one workshop or lectureship each year (one week including one Sunday worship period). Also provided will be three weeks of paid vacation time (split into 2 vacation periods, and includes 3 Sunday worship periods).

Prospective Candidate duties include:

1. Preparation for and preaching each Sunday morning.
2. Teaching a Bible Class on Sunday morning when requested to.
3. Teaching a Wednesday Zoom class on topics as needed and requested.
4. Working with Wayne Sharp and the congregation on evangelism in the community.
5. Developing new methods for reaching the lost in the community.
6. Researching, suggesting and developing new programs to help the Church grow.
7. Working with Church members to maintain the facilities and grounds.
8. Making hospital and home visits as needed.
9. Working with Wayne Sharp to continually develop preaching and teaching skills.
